Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure involving controlled puncturing of the skin at different depths according to the indication. The controlled injury creates a wound healing cascade that stimulates collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycan production to improve the quality and appearance of the skin.

Microneedling is indicated for various concerns, including:

• Acne

• Pigmentation

• Rosacea

• Hairloss

• Skin rejuvenation/anti ageing

• Scars

With the creation of microchannels into the skin, active ingredients can be delivered before OR after the treatment to penetrate deeper into the skin and work their magic.

Active ingredients are chosen according to your concern and are discussed during consultation.

A chemical peel is a procedure where a chemical solution (based on your concerns) is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back is firmer and smoother due to the inflammatory cascade that was activated.

Specific peels are indicated for specific concerns, whether it be acne, pigmentation, scarring, anti-ageing, or just a general glow.

Peels range from superficial to deep and a consultation must take place with a treatment plan.

The liquid facelift

Botulinum Toxin, commonly known as Botox®, is a temporary neurotoxic protein injected by a trained medical practitioner that prevents the release of neurotransmitters at the neuromuscular junction. The result is no transfer of neurotransmitters at the junction, thus, no movement.

Botulinum is also used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), migraines, jaw clenching, and spasticity in patients with cerebral palsy or other neurological conditions.

It can also be used in the treatment of acne and especially acne scarring, in conjunction with other modalities.

Common areas to inject are the frown, forehead, crow’s feet, and neck, but smaller areas like laughing lines on the nose, a gummy smile and a downturned mouth can be corrected with small dosages. You can even flip the top lip for a subtle pout.

The effect of Botulinum Toxin varies from person to person but generally lasts 4 months. If you are judicious in repeating treatments as soon as movement returns, muscles atrophy and you will need less toxin with time.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan throughout our body’s connective tissue, that degrades as a result of age, sun exposure, smoking and environmental impact, to name a few. The result is looseing of our skin’s firmness and structure, leading to fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, and loss of structure.

Dermal fillers consist of Hyaluronic acid and vary in different firmness to restore plumpness and structure to the skin and improve the appearance of wrinkles.

Profhilo® is an injectable treatment containing one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic acid on the market. It is not a dermal filler that plumps and fills wrinkles, it rather provides a slow release of Hyaluronic acid that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin over a longer period that results in increased skin tone, texture, hydration, and appearance of fine lines.

Profhilo® is not a replacement for existing wrinkle injection treatments, it can be used in conjunction with Botulinum Toxin and Dermal filler, or as a stand-alone treatment to improve the condition and appearance of the skin, resulting in age correction and reversal.

Two sessions one month apart, annually.

Sculptra is a powerful injectable collagen stimulator, containing PLLA (poly-L lactic acid) that provides long-lasting, natural-looking results for up to two years. When this product is injected into certain target areas, it stimulates the production of collagen. Over time, the PLLA is safely absorbed, leaving behind the stronger collagen that it has encouraged the body to produce.

The ideal candidate would be someone who would like to regain general firmness and elasticity in their skin with a very natural, long-lasting result.
